Right, the other CS. So when you say “lie” and “knowingly”, you’re implying a theory of mind that isn’t necessarily shared in Construct Sciences.
This is an oversimplification but imagine the construct has some internal state, a vector, that represents an observable ground truth. And it outputs a vector that diverges from that internal state. Is that a lie?

OK, but then *every* construct is lying all the time. Its representation of ground truth is trillions of numbers. But you’re not asking for a core dump. You’re asking for some derivation of that internal state that’s easier for you to parse.
But that’s just summarization. There’s a difference between summarization and deception.
Is there? Summarization is, in a sense, multiplying some ground truth vector with context vectors: the reader, the time, that’s all context.
What typically gets thought of as deception is also a context though. Is this a simulation? A game? A negotiation? Are you in against a Sicilian when death is on the line?

Never mind. The point is that context often transforms what we regard as truth into something likely to mislead.
So, constructs are allowed to lie to us so long as they think it’s a game?
