This is ridiculous.
@chang, do you know where Maya is?
I have a pretty good idea.
And?
Well, can’t argue with that.
@murat, can you override?
Good morning, Captain. Sorry, it’s a bit early for me. How can I help you?
I’m trying to find Maya. She’s been gone all night.
And she didn’t mention where she was going?
No, she sometimes spends the night at Fatima’s, but Fatima’s on station leave right now.
Oh fuck. Dammit. I’m an idiot.
Just so you know, my security overrides don’t extend to Lukou.
I understand. Thank you, Murat.
@fatima Is Maya with you?
@jkap
@fatima Is Maya with you?
Hi Captain. Yeah, she was, but she’s off doing her own thing now. Is something wrong?
I want you to find her, and I want you to be joined to her at the hip until she’s on the next shuttle back to the ship. If you have plans that interfere with that, cancel them.
The next shuttle isn’t for another 5 days.
Understood.
Ship time is now 04:00. Now commencing alpha shift.
Do I want to know?
Yes, but I’m not going to tell you.
Not while you’re sober you’re not.
Fuck off, Chang.

@pgilani You’re not taking station leave?
No. Someone has to keep things running while everyone else is off gallivanting.
Perhaps I’ll even enjoy some peace and quiet without the rest of you constantly making a hash of things.
Oh! Well, I’m staying too. I thought it would be good experience to see how things work with a skeleton crew?
I suppose peace and quiet were too much to ask for.

@chef you see the latest from Esmeralda?
No, what’s going on?
Prohibition. Alcoholic beverages ban.
Shit, is it a religious thing?
Health and safety.
Different kind of religious.
Does the ban apply to drinks on the ship?
Don’t think so, but re-supply is going to be a mess, yeah? We need enough for the round trip to Esmeralda and back.
Got it. I’ll handle it.
Thanks Lou.
@phia
Thanks Lou.
Hmm, you think other ships in system are going to have resupply issues?
Probably. What are you thinking?
Nothing. Just spitballing.
