The first artifact went into a repeating cycle almost immediately after contact. Once it started looping, that was it. No further interaction possible. We don’t know what triggers the lock.
So we could send more. But if we do and it triggers the loop, we’ve just killed the only responsive artifact humanity has ever encountered.
