Update on the convoy discussion. The captains met just now. Scheherazade and Pato voted to continue to Sol. Jatayu and Tukkasotka voted to return to Esmeralda.
That left the vote to me. I voted to continue.
Esmeraldan authorities have not requested assistance from us, and unless that changes within the next day, we will proceed as planned. We have a limited jump window and will follow our original schedule.
One related note: the convoy will leave a probe behind at FSNC-2388. Zalmux is preparing an arrangement where the probe will try to catch up with us if anything changes.

Captain, if we’re leaving behind a probe, could we leave a shuttle?
A shuttle lacks both the ability to transit and the resources to sustain life for an extended period of time, Kay. Unless you want to die of asphyxiation.
Couldn’t we leave behind an entire ship then? The Jatayu or the Tukkasotka perhaps?
We discussed it, but despite other differences, the captains of the Jatayu and Tukkasotka agreed it was important to maintain the integrity of the convoy, especially given events on our way here. I’m sorry, Kay.
