@kenv, it is unfortunate enough to overpay for what is proving to be a thoroughly subpar experience. Now I am told you are making further cuts. Is there a floor to this, Kenji, or must we simply keep descending?
Ms. Wong-Ashford, I can tell you with complete confidence: in the order of things being cut on this ship, paying passengers are dead last. Cargo, industry, crew comfort -- every bit of it goes before a hair of your accommodation does. You are, quite literally, the last to be touched.
And yet the bakery selection has been dramatically diminished.
When we negotiated your passage, you did not know this ship had a bakery. For that matter, *we* did not know we’d get a Dani and a bakery. You have lost nothing you were promised.
Kenji, it is your deprivations that have induced my reliance on Dani’s baking. Will you take no responsibility?
Dani has cheesecake!
Let them eat cheesecake. Please, listen to yourself.
Ship time is now 20:00. Now commencing gamma shift.
@xlbo, have you calculated the thermodynamics associated with each of our intelligences? If we have reached the point where we are adjusting our coffee makers, then surely we should evaluate the constructs as well.
Wait, are you suggesting we can save power by telling Chang to shut up? I am extremely intrigued.
how dare. you need me to keep zalmux from jumping this ship into a large rock.
But we are not jumping. We are coasting for several weeks. That is well within @ship’s normal capabilities.
But we will transit when the time comes, and what I perceive between now and then weighs upon our future trajectory.
I concur. Standard protocol for a Perceptible Intelligence calls for it to be brought online anywhere between 30 weeks and a year prior to its initial transit.
We do not fully understand the mechanism, but the safety record of a long running Perceptible Intelligence is significantly better than that of one recently brought online.
Hmm, that is news to me. I apologize for inconveniencing you then. I will endeavour to find energy savings elsewhere then.
There is no need to apologize. Your assistance is always welcome, Bernadette.
I’m glad someone thinks so.
