I am a lawyer but I am not your lawyer. I represent the ship. Now you might be saying, “hey Kenji, that’s a weird way to start your bio” and you’re right! It is a weird way to start my bio, but the number of times where someone on the crew comes and says, “hey Kenji, so I have this cute fuzzy animal that violates the biosecurity rules of our destination” and I have to say “well, I guess we need to put your pet in the incinerator now” and that makes me the villain here — well, I assure you, reader and possible regulator, that is not a thing that has actually happened but is a colorful example meant to illustrate, for the benefit of our crew, exactly what it is I do here.
